In a market where millions of young workers migrate to cities for employment, Tribe provided a structured alternative to the informal PG (paying guest) accommodations that dominate India's shared housing landscape.

Tribe's model focused on converting existing residential properties into well-designed, professionally managed coliving spaces with modern amenities. By offering fully furnished rooms with housekeeping, WiFi, meals (optional), and community spaces at prices competitive with traditional PGs, Tribe demonstrated that quality living could be accessible.

The company's technology-first approach to operations enabled them to manage hundreds of beds with lean teams, keeping costs low enough to serve the price-sensitive Indian market while maintaining significantly higher quality standards than informal alternatives.
